Sub: Creation of LSG/HSG I&II posts in SBCO branch during cadre restructure – reg

         I wish to bring your kind notice about the necessity to upgrade all In-charge SBCOs as LSG and also increase the number of HSG II & I posts as per the norms prescribed vide reference .1. above as given below..

POSB VOL – IV - APPENDIX 14 - STAFF STANDARDS FOR S.B. CONTROL, PAIRING AND ICO

The Department has prescribed different staff standards for supervisory posts and each kind of clerical work in the Control, Pairing and Internal Check Organisation which are furnished below for ready reference.

(A) Staff standards in the Control Organisation

1. Standards for supervisory posts in Savings Bank Control Organisation.

Sl.No	Number of accounts	Standards for Supervisory Post
(i)	Head Offices having up to 35,000 a/cs	UDC as in-charge
(ii)	Head Offices having   active   accounts between 35,001 and 1,05,000.	One LSG Head Clerk in the Scale of Rs. 425-15-500- EB-15-560-20-700. [SUPERVISOR]
(iii)	Head   Offices having active   accounts between 1,05,001 and  1,75,000.	(a)    One HSG-II Head Clerk  in the scale of Rs. 550-20-650-25-700. [SENIOR SUPERVISOR]         (b) One LSG Head Clerk in the scale of Rs. 425-700.
(iv)	Head Offices having more than        1,75,000 active accounts	(a)    One HSG-1 Head Clerk  in the scale of Rs. 700-30-760-35-900 [ CHIEF SUPERVISOR]         (b) One LSG Head Clerk.

Due to ban creation, even though the SBCOs are having the prescribed number of accounts and above, the LSG, HSG I&II posts have not been created. Now, in cadre restructure as increased the number of LSG, HSG I & II posts in General line, in SBCO cadre also, the above norms should be strictly adhered to upgrade all the SBCOs as LSG having more than 35000 a/cs, as HSG-II having more than 1,05,000 a/cs, as HSG-I having more than 1,75,000 a/cs  and as NF HSG-I having more than 3,00,000 a/cs.

It is kindly requested to issue necessary instructions to all Circles to identify the number of posts for up gradation as LSG, HSG I&II and NF HSG-I before the release of cadre restructure order from Directorate.
